Our pit bull mix is around 14 now, and I’ve been bracing myself for the slow decline that comes with age. My husband, on the other hand, keeps finding ways to reinvigorate him. This is the second product I’ve tried from DoggyDust, and I’ve been really impressed with the brand so far. I decided to try their JOINT supplement because my husky is six years old and getting older, so I wanted to add something to her routine to support her hips and joints long-term.

The biggest bonus is that my husky absolutely loves it! She gets excited as soon as she smells the bag, and when I sprinkle it over her kibble, she eats her food immediately and licks the bowl clean. Since she can sometimes be picky about eating plain kibble, I really appreciate that this actually encourages her to eat.

The powder is very fine and mixes easily into her food, and the included scoop makes it easy to measure. The instructions are straightforward, and it’s incredibly easy to incorporate into her daily feeding routine. I’ve been giving her one scoop per day according to the serving directions.

I also appreciate the natural ingredient approach and that it’s easy to add to her existing diet. I haven’t noticed any dramatic or immediate changes in her mobility, but that’s not what I expected. The green lipid muscle is known to help with an older dogs stiffness and joints. The other ingredients are good for pain and strengthening joint tissues. I have been givingb my pack of six (including a foster) which has 3 older dogs from 12 to 7 yrs.... I have been supplementing them since they were six in order to make their older years less painful. It is so easy to just provide a scoop in their daily meal too. So far it is working. I highly recommend this product for your older pups mobility issues.

I used to give my dog a joint supplement in a pill form but tried this instead and She has no issue with the change to powder. The powder is very fine and mixes well with her food. Especially with an oil for her coat. I feel she notices no difference at all.. the only thing I find a little gross is the smell but I guess for a dog it didn’t matter and is still appetizing. She’s a big gal so she gets 1.5 scoops once a day. Comes with a scoop for measuring the proper dose.

The powder form makes this so simple, I just sprinkle it over his dinner and he cleans the bowl, no trying to hide a pill. I’m pleasantly surprised but very excited that this product seems to actually work. My little buddy is 14 so I know I can’t reverse his joint deterioration but I wanted something that could ease his pain, so I was willing to give this a try. I’ve been using it consistently for about a month and it seems to be working. In fact I feel it worked after one week and I am really surprised. He seems a lot more spry and is able to move around a lot more comfortably. It blends well with his food. I just sprinkle it on, and he eats it no problem. The consistency and smell are no issue and I still have a lot left after a month. I’m a fan and would get this again. Well worth the price.

What will be the deciding factor is how giving your dog(s) supplements works best for you.

If you feed at least one fresh/wet meal a day, this is very easy to integrate into your routine.
Moreover, if you have been adding liquid supplements to your dogs food, but find them hard to measure or messy, this powder gives you a more manageable way to feed you dog(s) a joint supplement.

Dosing is based on your dogs size and if our noticed this being put in their food, they sure did not show it.
We specifically feed this to our still active older dog who seems to be responding to it very well.

While the powder delivery might not be right for every dog and owner, it is going to be the perfect fit for a whole lot of households.

Supplement is a fine powder and smells like a marriage between beef consumè and flake fish food. I chose to sprinkle this over my dogs fresh food topper, but it could potentially be added to dry food as well if it’s mixed thoroughly as not to be inhaled.
My dog didn’t appear to notice it mixed with her food and ate it readily.
My dog is an 8.5 year old American bully who has in the last year been showing signs of typical joint ache associated with aging and wear and tear, most notably at the end of the day. She is a very active dog who enjoys 1-2 hours of high key play a day to include running, leaping, jumping and brain stimulation.
My hope is that this supplement will give her ligaments and joints some additional lubrication and support to ease (not cure) the inevitable signs of aging.

Products like these are great. Attached is a photo of the ingredients which I think more products like this should show. You can see that there the concentration and mg of ingredients. It's the glucosamine and MSM that is important for the older dog joints and hips. Products like this make my dog seem much younger with more energy. Comments about the product are good: my dogs like it on their food and the bottle has a 60 day supply!
